Ingredients: 9/10

Pure Organic bars are vegan, made with certified organic ingredients, gluten-free and gmo-free. The ingredient list is pretty impressive, if only for the fact you don’t need a chesmitry degree to understand it.

Nutrition: 6/10

This isn’t quite a protein bar as it’s low on protein, at just 6 grams. It’s very low on sodium (salt) at 5mg and high in potassium (250mg). Some people might have an issue with agave nectar being included but it’s all organic.

Taste: 8/10

Upon opening the wrapper, it looks and smells a lot like a brownie. It feels similar to a Larabar with its sticky mixture of nuts and cocoa. The nuts are almonds, walnuts and cashew (cashew butter). The walnut gives a slighter stronger taste than the other nuts, and it balances out well with the dates, sweeting the whole deal, but not too much.

Overall Rating: 8/10

You might not be impressed with its look and texture, but upon the first bite, you’ll notice the chocolate flavor is there, and not too overpowering. For organic food, it’s a good price, and it has the advantage of being vegan (if it weren’t, it’s still worth it as it’s delicious and super healthy).
